Classic chocolate chip cookies with a twist!
I actually created this recipe this past winter as a complete accident. I was making cookies for Christmas, and I accidentally forgot to add salt to the cookie dough. I decided to sprinkle sea salt flakes on top of the cookies instead, and they were a huge hit!
Daniella's Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
flaked sea salt
1 cup softened butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
Directions
Combine flour and baking soda in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto baking sheets. Sprinkle with flaked sea salt. Bake at 350° for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
